Turkije lanceert Turks in Space
Turks in Space heet het programma niet, maar de aankondiging deed me onweerstaanbaar denken aan de Muppetshow. Turkije gaat de ruimte in.Enfin, het was te leuk om het niet even in herinnering te roepen.
Turkije heeft grootse plannen:.
A month after Türksat 5A was launched, Turkey unveiled a landmark 10-year space road map that includes missions to the moon, sending Turkish astronauts to a scientific mission in space and developing internationally viable satellite systems.
De aankondiging was niet vrij van enige zelfingenomenheid:
Erdoğan also said Türksat 5A, the nation’s first satellite being developed using domestic resources, is scheduled to be sent into space in 2022.
It will place Turkey among the 10 countries capable of producing their own satellites, the president noted.
It is a product of the collaboration between the Transportation and Infrastructure Ministry as well as organizations and companies such as leading defense firm Aselsan, TAI and CTech, along with Türksat and the country’s top scientific body, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK).
Turkije wil dan ook niet overzien worden in de Age of Space:
The National Space Program, which will be carried out by the Turkey Space Agency (TUA), includes 10 strategic goals, seen as part of Erdoğan’s vision for Turkey playing an expanded regional and global role.
Als je het zo leest kunnen de plannen voor een Turkse kolonie op de maan niet ver meer af zijn.
Turkey plans to establish its first contact with the moon in 2023 when the country marks the centennial of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
Dat zou trouwens interessante perspectieven bieden. Dan heeft de EU eindelijk ook een plek waar asiel geschafft kan worden. Al begint het dan met 35 jaar in orbit:
Türksat 5A will help secure Turkey’s orbital rights and will serve for 35 years, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Monday, as the fifth-generation communication satellite entered into service after it was launched into space in January.

De lat ligt in Turkije in ieder geval wel wat hoger dan hier. Hier is onze huidige grootste prestatie huishoudens van het gas af te dwingen (met maar 25% aandeel in totaalverbruik) en het omhakken van bossen om in een ‘biomassacentrale’ te kunnen proppen. Zelfingenomenheid heeft vele gezichten.
Die Turken baas in Ankara is in ieder geval geen eeuwige vrijgezel zoals dat oppervlakkige leugenachtige leeghoofd, zonder enige intellectuele interesses, hier in dit land.
En daar gaat Erdie.

Icaturk gaat de ruimte in.
De ruimtetoeters en de ruimtekleedjes zijn al bijna klaar en de Russen, Yanks en Chinezen doen het in hun broek.
De halve maan wappert straks op de maan, als dat maar goed gaat.
Erdogan gaat naar de halve maan, gelukkig niet de hele. Die andere helft is voor de rest van de raketgekken. Wat zal die erdogan trots zijn met zijn ruimtepigs
