Collusion is een modieus woord geworden. In ouderwets goed Nederlands zou ik het het liefst vertalen als ‘heulen met’. De wijze waarop Central Bank’s heulen met wat we ook wel aanduiden met Wall Street maakt dat wel degelijk het juiste woord.

Nomi Prins is een bekende journaliste in de werelden van Finance en Wall Street. Niet alleen heeft ze zelf op Wall Street gewerkt, maar haar kritiek is evenmin van gisteren. Prins is geen antikapitalistische hemelbestormer, maar iemand die van mening is dat de manier waarop de centrale banken de economie ongemerkt denken te kunnen sturen uit moet lopen op een rampzalige situatie. Haar nieuwe boek stelt aan de kaak dat de financiële crisis van 2007-8 dat proces nog versterkt heeft..
