Vandaag in het kader van Russiagate getuigt (als het goed is) FBI-agent Peter Strzok over zijn daden tijdens de onderzoeken naar Donald Trump en collusion met Rusland. Gisteren werd zijn toenmalige bijzit Lisa Page verwacht, maar zij verontschuldigde zich met het excuus dat se geen tijd had gehad zich voor te bereiden. Tot grote woede van Rep. Bob Goodlatte.

Goodlatte said it appears “key witness” Lisa Page has something to hide and Congress will use all tools at their disposal to obtain her testimony.

The House Judiciary Chairman also said Americans across the country are alarmed at the bias exhibited by officials at the FBI and DOJ and it is imperative Congress conduct vigorous oversight to ensure it never happens again.

Het smoesje was ook wat al te dol. Niet alleen heeft Page al enige maanden terug (4 mei) ontslag genomen bij de FBI, maar ze weet ook al een hele tijd dat men van haar weten wil wat haar rol was. iemand die vrijwel dagelijks in het nieuws is kan zich er niet op beroepen dat een oproep om te getuigen verwacht komt. Men gaat er nu van uit dat page vrijdag in een gesloten hearing zal worden ondervraagd. Als ze ook daar niet verschijnt lijken gerechtelijke stappen het minste dat ze verwachten kan. Zowel Page als Strzok heeft heel wat uit te leggen.

Subsidiair is dat ze liegt over haar toegang tot FBI-documenten.

Ze bijvoorbeeld dit nieuwsitem van Foxnieuws vorige maand, waarin een direct verband tussen President Obama, Hillary Clinton en de Clinton Foundation wordt besproken.

Dit loopt nog steeds, en er blijven ontwikkelingen in komen, zij het erg langzaam. Wel zit er nu schot in de fameuze tarmac-meeting tussen Minister van Justitie Loretta Lynch en Bill Clinton. in Phoenix, Arizona. De formulering is omineu:

In a July 1, 2016 email exchange FBI Section Chief Rachel Rojas warns a colleague to “stay away” from discussion of the Clinton Lynch tarmac meeting following publication of the meeting, unless they hear from a “higher up”. The colleague responds the next day, telling Rojas not to worry because, “I know better <winking.>” He/she adds that “it was DOJ opa [Office of Public Affairs] who threw us under the bus.” Rojas replies “Doj is likely overwhelmed so in [sic] hoping it wasn’t intentional. I know it wasn’t you guys because I know you have great judgement. Nothing good would come from that. Her staff should have avoided that scenario. The bu[reau] will be fine but obviously disappointed on how this is happening. Unfortunately, she’s taking heat from all over the place and I feel bad for her. I know she didn’t want this on her plate or for this to happen.” The colleague then concludes by saying that he/she thought the leaker was “a Phoenix cop assisting with the motorcade.”

Vooral de zinsnede over ‘higher up’ is pijnlijk om te lezen. Als de boven ons gestelden het er niet mee eens zjin dat we hun handel en wandel onderzoeken dan doen we dat toch niet? Wat een slavenmentaliteit! Het commetaar van de verslaggeving hierover denkt daar ook zo over:

“These emails are astonishing, no wonder the FBI hid them from Judicial Watch and the court,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “They show anti-Trump, pro-Clinton FBI Agent Peter Strzok admitting the decision not to prosecute the Clinton email issue was made back in April 2016 – long before even Hillary Clinton was interviewed. And the new emails show that the FBI security had the political objective of protecting then-Director Comey from ‘embarrassment’—which is, frankly, disturbing.”

De echte tarmac-meeting ging als volgt:

On June 27, 2016, Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with former President Bill Clinton on board a parked plane at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona.  The meeting occurred during the then-ongoing investigation of Mrs. Clinton’s email server, and only a few days before she was interviewed the Justice Department and FBI.  (Judicial Watch filed a request on June 30 that the U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General investigate that meeting.)

The tarmac meeting also came just days before former FBI Director James Comey held the July 5, 2016, press conference in which he announced that no charges would be filed against Mrs. Clinton. In his subsequent, May 3, 2017, testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Comey said the Lynch-Clinton tarmac meeting was the “capper” among “a number of things” that had caused him to determine that Department of Justice leadership “could not credibly complete the investigation and decline prosecution without grievous damage to the American people’s confidence in the justice system.”

Inderdaad is het weinig vreemd dat FBI-directeur Comey niet meer durfde. Lafheid kent geen tijd, en hier was reden genoeg om laf te worden.

Al was het maar omdat veel mensen die met de Democratische malversaties te maken kregen, op de een of andere manier sneller het kerkhof bereikten dan anderszins logisch as geweest. Op internet circuleren vrij lange lijsten met mensen die allemaal onder verdachte omstandigheden om het leven kwamen en die allemaal met de Clintons en USA2016 in verband stonden. Dat loopt van de zaak Seth Rich via Skripal tot de dood van een ouder echtpaar wier huis eerder deze week ontplofte, om maar een paar van de meest geruchtmakende voorbeelden te noemen. Er is nooit enig bewijs gevonden dat al die zaken met elkaar in verband stonden, maar de hoeveelheden die zich ophopen zijn verbijsterend. Niet iedere complottheorie heeft een complot als basis, maar de kansberekening is tegen de gebeurtenissen zoals die de afgelopen drie jaar hebben plaats gevonden.
