Het meest interessant aan dit verhaal is dat we nu weten waar de mythe van de “apotheker uit Aleppo” zijn oorsprong vond. Dat dit alle schijn heeft van een onderlinge afrekening – met alle implicaties van dien voor zijn humanitaire werk – daarover moeten we verder maar zwijgen.
Wees gerust, daarop zal worden toegezien door hen die deze mythes verspreiden.
