In Amerika beginnen diverse kandidaten zich al warm te lopen voor USA2024. Gouverneur De Santis van Florida zette vandaag een stevige stap.

Het is nog vroeg. Heel vroeg. Maar ook in het verleden liepen kandidaten zich vaak al jaren tevoren warm, en nu gouverneur De Santis (R) in Florida een wet laat aannemen tegen CRT, lijkt hij daarmee zijn kandidatuur te willen stellen. Met name het verzet in scholen tegen CRT zorgde voor de onverwachte gouverneursoverwinning van de Republikeinen in Virginia vorige maand.

Formeel is het elitaire, cultureel-marxistische woke-gedoe het doelwit, maar daar heeft de Democratische Partij zich al dusdanig mee vereenzelvigd, dat niemand zich afvraagt wat die partij er van vinden zal.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis introduced legislation Wednesday in an effort to crack down on the teaching of Critical Race Theory and other ‘woke’ ideology in schools and places of employment, urging that his state will not tolerate the “elite-driven phenomenon.” of “cultural Marxism”.

The legislation will provide parents a private right of action to enforce prohibition of the teaching of CRT and to recover attorney’s fees if they are successful.
Labelling CRT as “state-sanctioned racism,” and “indoctrination,” the governor proclaimed “No taxpayer dollars should be used to teach our kids to hate our country,” adding “We also have a responsibility to ensure that parents have the means to vindicate their rights when it comes to enforcing state standards.”
