Russiagate – who is who and what is what?

Russiagate

Russiagate has become so complex, that a telephone directory with names and numbers seems crucial for those that have not closely followed it’s development during 2017. Here is a who is who and what is what that is intended to supply your (basic) needs.

Introduction
Because of the growing complexity of the Russiagate scandal I thought it a good idea to construct a who is who and what is what, as a guide for the innocent newby to find his or her way in this minefield that for more then a year has dominated political warfare in the USA. Particularly useful now the scandal is coming to a head, the headlines are flooded with ins and outs, and more and more people have come to realise that their trust in their regular newsoutlets – part of the mainstream media – has proven to be misplaced. If that is you, you need information to understand what it is all about. You’ll find it here.

However, even for people that have tallied all along this past 14 months, it may prove useful to be made aware again of certain individuals that only play marginal but crucial roles. Also, the realisation that Russiagate consists of a large number of subscandals that are interconnected is a fact not everybody seems to have realised yet. Some information here may seem too obvious, but remember: this was originally compiled for a Dutch audience that has been kept in the dark by it’s own state media, that are blindly following the lead of leftwing American MSM.

I can not say I’m completely impartial myself, but I have tried to present the information in this blog with as little bias as can be expected, including lots of links to sources that explain or mention the main and smaller characters involved.

The main line
In short, Russiagate is all about finding a way to impeach Donald Trump as president of the United States. (Democrats may disagree)

It all started in earnest with a declaration by the ODNI on January 6th 2017, two weeks before the inauguration of Donald Trump as president of the United States. But the roots of the scandal reach back way further, and have become part of the scandal itself, now it seems more and more that Russiagate is a scam. A scam set up to remove Donald Trump from office before he could do too much damage to the vested interests of what usually is known as the Deep State. The Deep State seems to have been in collusion with the leading oligarchy within the Democratic Party (DNC), presently the second political party in the USA. Which would in effect prove a scandal that will rock the United States more then the infamous Watergate-scandal did in 1973-75.

The categorisation of those mentioned below may change over time. I intend to keep it up to date, and will register the latest date it has been changed on the foot of this post.

Steele’s alleged bias and Mr. and Mrs. Ohr’s relationship with him were not included in the FISA applications for surveillance of Carter Page. Sub-scandals to Russiagate

Emailserver scandal (Emailgate) In March 2015, it became publicly known that Hillary Clinton, during her tenure as United States Secretary of State, had used her family’s private email server for official communications, rather than official State Department email accounts maintained on secure federal servers.

Drain the swamp –  is the – rather traditional – battle cry president Trump used to announce his intention to counter Deep State and Democrat partisan machinations frustrating his governmental intentions.

Impeachmentthe procedure to dispose the president of the USA. Has never been successfully completed, though Richard Nixon stpped down before it got that far. Bill Clinton survived one serious attempt over the Mica Lewinsky-affair. Donald Trump did survive two much less serious attenpts – so far.

Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) – the summary that is used to convince a FISA-court to allow the spying on American citizens, without further exposure of the facts or reports on which it is based. The contents of the ICA that was compiled to obtain a FISA-warrant for spying on Carter Page have not been revealed yet.

The Memo – Nunes memo produced by chairman Nunes of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence

Memo2 – memo produced by Congressman Adam Schiff, ranking Democrat in the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to counter The Memo produced by Nunes.

NothingBurger – Many newsoutlets have tried to bring sensational news about the Russia probe, usually interlaced with their despise of president Trump. Nobody did that as worse as CNN, a newsoutlet that made it a habit to announce the most ridiculous claims, only to retract those towards the end of long articles on their newssite. This has become known as the NothingBurger.

Plea bargain – The plea bargain (also plea agreement, plea deal, copping a plea, or plea in mitigation) is any agreement in a criminal case between the prosecutor and defendant whereby the defendant agrees to plead guilty to a particular charge in return for some concession from the prosecutor. This may mean that the defendant will plead guilty to a less serious charge, or to one of the several charges, in return for the dismissal of other charges; or it may mean that the defendant will plead guilty to the original criminal charge in return for a more lenient sentence.

Een heel werk. Mijn complimenten.

Deze who is who wil ik blijven updaten

-Bruce Ohr: former DOJ Associate Deputy Attorney General (for Transnational Organized Crime and International Affairs) and key adviser to the former DOJ Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.

-Nellie Ohr is the wife of Bruce Ohr and she was hired bij Fusion GPS. She worked together with Christopher Steele on the Russian Steele-dossier.

Even de naam kwijt.
