USA Today – Democratische strapatsen

USA Today, Epstein, USAToday

With just three days until the full (redacted) Mueller Report is released, shattering his entire raison d’etre, House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff refuses to give up on his search for Trump-Russia collusion.

USA TodayBloomberg reports that Congressional Democrats issued subpoenas to Deutsche Bank AG and other banks to obtain long-sought documents related to whether foreign nations tried to influence U.S. politics, signaling an escalation of their probes into President Donald Trump’s finances and any dealings with Russians.

After spending years railing against the excesses of the wealthiest Americans, and after refusing to release his full tax returns when he ran for the Democratic nomination against Hillary Clinton, on Monday evening socialist Vermont senator Bernie Sanders released a decade’s worth of tax returns which confirm that, as had been extensively leaked before, he is indeed among those that can be called filthy, capitalist millionaires.

Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker says that Americans would be “less safe” if illegal immigrants were released from locked detention centers into migrant-friendly American cities – a plan which President Trump has threatened to explore.
When asked by Face the Nation’s Margaret Brennan whether Trump’s threat was an empty one, or if he was simply trying to create friction, Booker replied: “You say ‘friction’ — I say he’s trying to pit Americans against each other and make us less safe.

USA Today

“this isn’t just a crisis, this is a crisis like we’ve never experienced in the history of this country since we started tracking numbers,” said Mark Morgan, who also addressed false statistics floating around comparing the numbers of migrants to those of the 1990s.

There’s still this very false talking point out there that — well, back in the ’90s, the numbers were higher — over a million.” Well, first of all, again, you got to remember they were Mexican adults, we were moving, deporting 90 percent of them. With the broken asylum laws and other loopholes that are there, we’re seeing 65 to 70 percent increase in family units, and because of those broken laws, we’re allowing them in. This year, we’re expected to hit a million, but we’re going to let 650,000 into the country. That’s driving this crisis, driving our resources, being overwhelmed. We have to address it.

In a 60 Minutes interview this weekend, interviewer Lesley Stahl asked Pelosi about whether the different factions within the Democratic party are fractured, singling out

Stahl: “You are contending with a group in Congress. Over here on the left flank are these self-described socialists. On the right these moderates. You yourself said that you’re the only one who can unify everybody. And the questions is – can you?
Pelosi: By in large, whatever orientation they came to Congress with, they know that we have to hold the center. That we have to go down the mainstream.Stahl: They know that?
Pelosi: They do
Stahl: But it doesn’t look like that. It looks as if it’s fractured…. You have these wings – AOC and her group on one side
Pelosi interjects: “well that’s like five people.

In a 15-11 vote, New York’s Assembly Higher Education Committee decided not to allocate more money to a $2.7 million program that currently helps 145 students related to or dependent on disabled and deceased combat veterans to pay college tuition, the New York Post reported.

“We will make every effort to ensure going forward, we have some additional resources allocated to the program so that as an entitlement, it is not falling short of the needs of our military families,” Democrat Assemblywoman Deborah Glick said, according to the Post.

With a nearly 90% approval rating among Republicans, President Trump’s dominance of the party is beyond question. But that doesn’t mean some of the lingering #NeverTrumpers who tried, and failed, to stop him in 2016 won’t give their Quixotic quest one last go.
John Kasich, long considered the most likely candidate to challenge Trump for the 2020 nomination, has already admitted that “I can’t beat him”, and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, another credible challenger from what’s left of the party’s moderate wing, has ruled out a run. But apparently Massachusetts Gov. William Weld, best known nationally for being Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson’s running mate in 2016, thinks he has a shot to best Trump in the Republican primary.

Enfin, dit is hem:

USA Today

Current position: Partner at Mintz Levin law firm, member of the Council on Foreign Relations, associate member of the InterAction Council

Born: Smithtown, New York

Undergraduate: Harvard University

Date candidacy announced: April 15, 2019

    Prachtige update,thnx hannibal.

    Typisch smerig links gedrag !

Hier : Klaver, Halsema, Jetten, e.d.
    Daar : Booker, Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Tlaib e.d.
